Our office staffs and leaders hail from the various regions and destinations that you will visit. While Ace the Himalaya’s office staff hold the requisite experience and skill that their job demands, the guides are all licensed by the Ministry of Tourism, speak fluent English, Korean, German, Chinese, French, Russian and hold a high Altitude First Aid Certificate. All share great enthusiasm for guiding and have been chosen for their native experience and thorough personal knowledge. They really enjoy what they do and express great joy in introducing you to favorite local places, people and the behind-the-scenes spots that would never otherwise be explored. As they open up, you will begin to learn about their own lifestyles and families, along with personal influences and beliefs. Khatry, the Founder, CEO and Managing Director of 'Ace the Himalaya' hails from a mountainous village in Gorkha.  Now a successful entrepreneur and a very active social worker contributing to the welfare of the society, Mr. Khatry comes from a humble background. Prakash Tamang is our camping cook. He goes in all our camp-style treks. He is very experienced with 13 years of cooking and prepares different varieties of Nepali cuisines and serves the clients. He has been to all over Nepal, from Kanchenjunga in the east to Upper Dolpo in the west. He also has done some climbing in the past. He has summited to peaks like Mera Peak and Island Peak.

Ang Furi Sherpa

Ang Furi, a camping cook from Solu, prepares Nepali, Continental, Japanese and American dishes for our clients staying in camps while traveling. His major working destinations are Mustang, Annapurna Base Camp and Everest Base Camp. Besides English, he can speak some Japanese. His love for cooking and cooking skills make him a fine professional cook and we hope with his cooking, he makes his family happy as well.
