Local monasteries are attempting to find a position in a nation that is crashing into the twentieth century after centuries of being practically isolated. For those who appreciate culture, there are exhibits of people who are upbeat and proud of their religion and beliefs, much as they were 100 years ago.
The vast majority of this territory is located above 4000 meters (13,000 feet), where it holds many secrets.
