We were blessed with great weather, no delays at Lukla, perfect vistas and Ace the Himalaya. Ace filled us with confidence from the beginning with their timely and fulsome responses to our many queries. Ace are an ethical company who aim to have the least negative impact on their environment.

They achieve this through filtering the water 3 times a day to eliminate the need for plastic bottles, being owned locally and employing local staff who they treat well with weight limits for the porters and giving back to the communities they operate in.

Our lead guide was Sushanta who is very experienced, knowledgeable, caring and fun. He watched us like a hawk to make sure we all got to Base camp safely and genuinely cared for all nine of us.

He worked tirelessly to make sure we all had the right clothing for the day, had eaten the right food, were drinking enough water and had a positive outlook. Without Sushanta we would have been unlikely to have made it. Our assistant guide was Sauman who was energetic,fun and kept us uplifted through mentally challenging times.

We will never be able to think about Everest Base Camp without thinking of these two new friends. They were seamlessly assisted by a group of 5 porters who worked hard in the background and were always there for us.

In particular Bopal who stepped in to guide us when required and was warm and caring. I can’t believe how hard these men work. All in all I would never do this trip without Ace the Himalaya. A very professional, ethical, safe and fun experience start to finish.
