Ace the Himalaya Traveled with World’s Shortest Man and Woman

Ace the Himalaya became a witness of a historical event. It was the first trip in Nepal, together made by world’s shortest man and woman. Chandra Bahadur Dangi, 72, from Dang, Nepal, standing 1 foot 9.5 inches met Jyoti Amge, 18, of Nagpur, India (2 feet tall) for the second time in the world and first time in Nepal. Ace the Himalaya sponsored them one day Kathmandu city tour on 28th September 2012.

In the morning, our HiaAce vehicle reached to the hotel where the shortest duo was staying. After they had breakfast, they along with their team headed for the day’s journey with Ace driver, Buddhi Heka. Mr. Dangi and Miss Amge were in town to shoot a documentary movie for Cuba-Havana Film Festival. Ace the Himalaya took them to Hanumandhoka, Kumari temple, Kathmandu Durbar Square premises, Patan museum and Patan Durbar Square.

Chandra Bahadur Dangi was accompanied by his nephew and Jyoti Amge was with her parents. For Jyoti and her parents, it was their first visit to Nepal. They liked the heritage sites and everything in the museum very much. Everywhere, they were mobbed as people were too keen to take a glance of the world’s shortest man and woman. Both of them shot for their documentary while on the trip and also posed with Ace the Himalaya- cap in some pictures.

As per our itinerary, they were to be taken to Pashupatinath temple too, on that day. But that could not happen because it took long time already in Kathmandu Durbar Square and Patan Durbar Square and above all, they had to shoot for the movie. Ace the Himalaya feels very happy and proud to have sponsored a day trip to such living legends.

Chandra Bahadur Dangi is the world’s shortest person living and ever lived and Jyoti Amge is the shortest woman living, according to Guinness Book of World Records.
