I’d selected this trek because I wasn’t sure if I wanted to deal with the mental/physical challenge of the trek to EBC, but wanted to trek in the region and see Everest in person. This trek was absolutely perfect for me. I dealt directly with Ace and they were exceptional in handling all details. Before the trip, I found it helpful to have a US contact for some questions and to submit the deposit (thank you, Kathy), but Sujan in the Kathmandu office was incredible to work with as well. In fact, I got sick after the trek and he even gave me his private mobile number in case I needed help.
No detail was overlooked. The city tour was a great way to start. There was a hiccup in getting to Lukla for the start our trip (our flight was suddenly canceled), but the huge upside to that was we were given a helicopter flight instead! My guide on the trek, Resham, was outstanding. He was super friendly, knowledgeable, always willing to take photos and checked with me from time to time to make sure I was feeling OK. Accommodations and food along the trek were better than I expected (but of course that is relative…they are 3-star by Nepali standards). The farewell dinner at a traditional Nepali restaurant in Kathmandu was the perfect finish to a marvelous experience. The duffel bag they provide is awesome and will be used often! The scarves I was given by Resham and the Kathmandu office when sending me off were wonderful gesture.
I also had Ace handle additional sightseeing/airport transfers/hotel arrangements for me and they went off without a hitch. I hope to trek again with Ace!
