The ascent is steep and the round trip along the well marked trails can take up to 4 hours. However, the challenge encountered is worth the reward as you get some of the finest views from Kyanjin Ri.

You will be treated to a fantastic panorama of the snowcapped peaks of Langtang Lirung, glazing Kyanjin glacier, the entire Langtang Valley, and a majestic 360 degree view of the surrounding peaks.

Tserko Ri

For adventure enthusiasts wanting to take the thrill up a notch, a hike to Tserko Ri is all you need. It is the highest point at the Langtang Valley trek which takes you to an altitude of 4,984 meters.

The climb to reach Tserko Ri from Kyanjin Gompa is even more challenging than the climb to Kyanjin Ri. The round trip takes almost 8 hours and the trails are slightly challenging with rocky and steep sections demanding a good level of physical fitness.

However, the rewards from the summit are truly exceptional. Along with being one of the popular viewpoints of Nepal, Tserko Ri is one of the best sunrise spots too.

So leave early if you don’t want to miss the perfect sunrise from the summit. You will also get spectacular 360 degree views of Langtang Valley and the surrounding peaks including Yala Peak, Langtang Lirung, Langtang Ri, and more.

Langtang Glacier Hike
