Hands down the best trip I’ve ever experienced. From the cozy accommodations to the incredible dal bhat, everything exceeded my expectations. That said, what truly made the trip unforgettable was our guide and porter.

Our guide, Janu, was exceptional. He was patient, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate—taking the time to explain everything from the surrounding peaks to the local Nepali language and slang, as well as the cultural nuances of both Nepali and Tibetan communities. I learned a tremendous amount on this trip (and developed a serious appreciation for dal bhat).

Our porter, Bishal, was equally outstanding. His positive attitude and strong work ethic set him apart. Even with a heavy load, he remained upbeat and engaging—it was a pleasure getting to know him, and his English was excellent.

I’ve trekked in many places around the world, and I can confidently say Janu is the best guide I’ve ever had—he deserves recognition.
