Ramhari Neupane

Ramhari Neupane, affectionately known as Ram to his clients, is one of Ace the Himalaya’s experienced and trusted trekking guides, with a career in Nepal’s tourism industry dating back to 2011.

Originally from Gorkha, close to the Manaslu region, he grew up seeing trekkers and international visitors in his hometown, which inspired him to build a career in tourism. He joined Ace the Himalaya as a porter and, after a year of dedicated work and strong performance, was promoted directly to a trekking guide.

Over the years, Ram has guided clients across Everest, Annapurna, Langtang, Manaslu, and Upper Mustang, with extensive knowledge of the major trekking routes in the Everest and Annapurna regions. Everest and Annapurna are among his favorite regions because his familiarity with the trails, culture, history, and local communities allows him to provide smooth and well-managed trekking experiences. He speaks English, Hindi, Nepali, and Korean, helping him communicate comfortably with clients from different countries and cultures.

Ram considers meeting people from around the world and learning about their cultures and languages one of the most rewarding parts of his profession. Clients can expect not only practical trekking knowledge from him but also insights into the local culture, history, traditions, landscapes, and communities along the trail. He has also successfully completed Island Peak climbing in 2017.

Ram is licensed by the Ministry of Tourism, Nepal, and holds a High Altitude First Aid Certificate too. He also completed professional training in trekking guide skills, mountain weather forecasting, GPS and map reading, mobile photography, and wilderness first aid, strengthening his ability to manage different conditions and provide a safe and informed trekking experience.

In 2018, Ram was recognized as Ace the Himalaya’s Guide of the Year for his dedication, contribution, and commitment to providing quality service to guests.

He values client feedback, respects individual needs, and believes that a successful trek is one where guests feel safe, comfortable, informed, and well cared for. Outside trekking, he enjoys solo travel, exploring new places, discovering different cultures, and learning from new experiences.
