Ramesh Karki

Ramesh Karki is a licensed trekking guide from Gorkha, Nepal, with years of experience exploring and guiding across Nepal’s diverse mountain regions. His journey in tourism began in 2016 as a porter, and after years of his experience on the trails eventually led him to pursue guiding as a profession.

Ramesh has guided on a wide range of routes, from popular Himalayan journeys to more remote trekking areas. In the Everest region, his experience includes the Everest Base Camp Trek, Everest High Passes, Gokyo to Everest Base Camp route, and many more. He has also guided in the Annapurna, Langtang, Mardi Himal, Gosaikunda, Nar Phu Valley, and Upper Mustang trek. His experience extends beyond Nepal as well, having guided guests on the Tibet Kailash Mansarovar Tour.

The Annapurna Circuit Trek is Ramesh’s favorite route. He enjoys the way the trail gradually rises from the lower valleys into the high Himalayas, with changing landscapes, traditional villages, diverse cultures, and impressive mountain views along the way. Having experienced these regions closely, he enjoys sharing the stories, local customs, and details that make each place different.

Ramesh speaks Nepali, English, and Hindi and enjoys meeting people from different countries and backgrounds. He is known for being honest, responsible, and attentive to his guests, with safety always being an important part of his approach to guiding. At the same time, he wants his clients to have fun and fully enjoy their time in the mountains.

Along with his field experience, Ramesh has completed trekking guide training, first aid training, mountain weather forecasting, GPS and map reading, and photography training. These skills support him in making informed decisions on the trail and helping guests feel comfortable and well cared for throughout their journey.
