Ace the Himalaya is a sustainable tour operator, and we are committed to promoting responsible and ethical tourism practices. We encourage our clients to purchase local handmade souvenirs as a way to support the local economy and cultural heritage.
However, souvenirs that are more than 100 years old are considered to be “antiques”. It is illegal to take such things out of Nepal. We strongly discourage the purchase of any type of souvenirs that are very old, stolen, or illegally obtained including artifacts such as statues and paintings, and things made from endangered plants and animals.
Moreover, we believe in preserving the cultural heritage and natural resources of the places we visit for future generations to enjoy.
