Raj Kumar Karki

Raj Kumar Karki is a certified trekking guide from Gorkha, Nepal, who has been guiding with Ace the Himalaya since 2013. Before building his career in tourism, he also spent two years teaching at a primary school, an experience that helped him develop patience, communication skills, and a natural ability to work with people.

Over the years, Raj Kumar has guided on a wide range of Himalayan routes, including Everest Base Camp, Everest Three Passes, Gokyo Valley, Gokyo to Everest Base Camp, Annapurna Circuit, Tilicho Lake, Annapurna Base Camp, and Upper Mustang and Langtang. His experience across these different trails has given him a good understanding of Nepal’s landscapes and the varied experiences each trekking region offers.

Among the routes he has explored, Gokyo Valley and Everest Base Camp are his favorites. He particularly enjoys the spectacular mountain views, the natural surroundings, and the quieter sections of the trail. Being in nature is one of the things he enjoys most about working as a trekking guide, and he loves sharing that experience with his guests.
