We completed the EBC trek Nov 2 – Nov 14 2025 and I would say it’s one of the most physically and mentally challenging experiences I’ve ever had. Each day was filled with interesting and sometimes rough terrain, Nepalese kindness, beautiful views and a food menu. So many vegetarian food options to choose from however Dahl soup was the preferred dish for me.
I got to share this experience with my husband, son and best friend, which makes it even more meaningful. Our guides, Pasang and Sauman made sure we reached each milestone safely. Navigating the temperature, accommodations, food and proper hydration was not always easy but with the close eye of our guides they made sure we were keeping up.
Many members of our group got sick in Dingbouche likely due to unsanitary food preparation or water contamination. This caused one group member to turn back and could not complete the trek and many others to trek while feeling weak.
Words can’t describe the overall experience because the friendships made and individuals experiences are all different.
I’m beyond proud of us for achieving this bucket list adventure! Thank you to Ace the Himalayas, Pasang Dawa Sherpa and his team.
