My wife and I recently completed the Gokyo to EBC Trek in late September-early October!

Ace the Himalaya had a very organized and detailed pre-trip planning process that proved valuable for us in knowing what to pack and things not to forget.

Our guide (Nima) and porters (Charta and Teak) were amazing!

Nima did a great job outlining the next’s day journey while the porters always had our luggage at the teahouses in advance of our arrival.

Although we didn’t get to go to Gokyo due to very difficult weather that altered the plans of all trekkers, we really enjoyed the altered route of going to the standard
EBC route and Nima ensuring our safety along the way with all the snow and landslides.

He was also great in assisting my wife when she got sick for a few days or playing “cameraman” for our group when coming up on another scenic shot.

The trek was physically challenging, and the scenery was indescribable.

Teahouses provided by Ace were nice and I loved getting a surprise birthday cake Nepali style.

I would definitely only use Ace the Himalaya when returning to Nepal for other treks and couldn’t recommend Nima enough as a guide for other trekkers on the EBC.
