If you’re planning on booking a trek to ebc and would like to do it guided, i highly recommend booking with ace the himalaya! from the very beginning, they were incredibly professional, had great communication, answered any questions i had and ensured i was well informed at all times. we started with a group of 7 and were lucky enough to have pasang as our guide! unfortunately on the day of departure, due to flight cancellations our group got split, which left 3 of us at kathmandu airport waiting for another flight. we ended up flying out the following day via helicopter to lukla when the weather had cleared a little. during this time, pasang was making numerous phone calls and doing everything he could to ensure we were all very well looked after (especially those who managed to get on the only flight to lukla on the original departure date). pasang was so supportive and we were always kept up to date. the trek finally started and we caught up with the rest of the group which included the support guide sauman. he is hilarious, has such great energy and really hyped up the group on the long, hard days! pasang and sauman taught us so much about the local culture too, as well as some pretty amazing facts about the himalayas. no question was too dumb, and no task was too hard. they supported our group through the entire journey which i believe plays a massive part in why our entire group of 7 made it to EBC and back without any issues!

this was truly such an unforgettable trip, with the best crew and i believe i have made friends for life. thank you to pasang, sauman, and of course our incredible porters (strongest men on earth) gopal, gombu and dipak – without you this trip would not have been possible. thank you for changing my life and sharing the mountains and your beautiful home with us.
