Trekking GuideTej Regmi is a government-licensed, experienced trekking and peak-climbing guide from Solukhumbu, the heart of the Everest region. His career in the mountains began in 2013, first working as a porter on the Manaslu and Dhaulagiri routes. After a year, he moved into the role of assistant guide for two years, gaining experience in both trekking operations and high-altitude environments before developing his career as a professional guide.
Tej has been with Ace the Himalaya for 7 years, guiding across some of Nepal’s major trekking regions, including Everest, Annapurna, Langtang, Manaslu, and Dhaulagiri. His experience also extends beyond Nepal, including the Tibet, giving him a broad understanding of Himalayan trekking and travel.
Peak climbing is a particular area of Tej’s experience. He has climbed Lobuche Peak 4 to 5 times, Mera Peak 7 times, and Island Peak multiple times. His repeated experience on these peaks has given him a strong understanding of the routes, climbing conditions, and practical challenges involved in Himalayan peak expeditions. Alongside climbing, he remains an all-round guide with experience across many parts of Nepal.
Tej is well trained in first aid, with his mountain experience complemented by years of practical work on trekking and climbing routes. His combination of trekking knowledge and repeated peak-climbing experience makes him well suited to clients looking for both trekking and Himalayan peak adventures.
