Golfing in Kathmandu and Pokhara is more than just a leisure activity; it’s an opportunity to get closer to nature.

Gokarna Forest Golf Resort is just 10 kilometers away from the city of Kathmandu. Previously it was the private royal hunting ground of the former Kings of Nepal. This 6,755 yard, par 72, 18 holes golf course was designed by Gleneagles Golf Developments of Scotland and considered one of the best in South-Asia.

Similarly, Himalayan Golf Course is situated 7 kilometers away from Pokhara city. It is considered one of the top 10 most unique golf courses in the world. This 6,900 yard, par 73, 18 holes golf course provides the scenic panoramic view of the Annapurna Himalayan range and a snowfed river is flowing right through the golf course.

Once golf is over, visit two nearby Word Heritage Sites. Your tour guide will take you to these sites on a private air-conditioned tourist vehicle.

Boudhanath: The 2500 years old Buddhist stupa in the Valley was built in 5th century. It has four pairs of eyes of Lord Buddha looking in four cardinal directions keeping an eternal watch over the people and their doings. You will find Buddhist pilgrims going round the stupa spinning the prayer wheels.

Pashupatinath Temple: Pashupatinath is one of the most sacred Hindu shrines in the world and is located 5 km east of the city center. The richly-ornamented pagoda houses the sacred linga, or phallic symbol, of Lord Shiva. Chronicles indicate the temple’s existence prior to 400 AD. Devotees can be seen taking ritual dips in the holy Bagmati River flowing beside the temple.

Note: Either on Day 1 or Day 2, depending on your arrival time, we will host a pre-trip meeting in our office or at the hotel and introduce you to your trekking guide. Please seek this opportunity to ask questions about your trek. We will also supply you with our duffel bag and cap. It’s a 35-minute flight from Kathmandu to the Lake City. Once you arrive there, you will be transferred to your hotel. Check in and refresh yourself. There is guided sightseeing in the Lakeside. Visit:

Phewa Lake and Barahi Temple: Situated at an altitude of 800 m above sea level, it is the second largest lake in Nepal. The Barahi temple is in the middle of the lake. It is the most important religious monument in Pokhara. Built in Phewa Lake, this two-storied pagoda is dedicated to the female force Shakti. The reflection of Mt. Machhapuchhare and Annapurna can be seen in its serene water. The thick forest lies on the adjoining southern slopes of the lake.

Day 05 - Fly Back to Kathmandu in the Morning and Additional Guided Sightseeing of Kathmandu

In the morning, take a flight back to Kathmandu. There is additional sightseeing today too. Visit two World Heritage Sites:

Kathmandu Durbar Square: This complex of palaces, courtyards and temples, built between the 12th and 18th centuries, used to be the seat of the ancient Malla kings of Kathmandu. An intriguing piece here is the 17th-century stone inscription set into the wall of the palace with writings in 15 languages. The Durbar Square is the social, religious and urban focal point of the city. There are also three museums inside the palace building.

Swayambhunath Stupa – The Monkey Temple: This stupa watches over the valley from the top of a hillock on its western side. The huge stupa is one of the holiest Buddhist sites in Nepal and its establishment is linked to the creation of the Kathmandu Valley out of a primordial lake. Swayambhu is also known as Samhengu and the Monkey Temple because of the countless monkeys living in the premises. In the end of the day, we take you for farewell dinner to a Nepali restaurant. There will be cultural performances.
