We were a group of 4 girls wanting a challenge and that's exactly what we got...one that was tailored to our needs! Our Ace team led by Aakash KC did a sterling job getting us all the way to Everest base camp - having filled us with numerous mo-mos! The team were amazing managing to put up with our varied moods, humour and joining in the brithday celebrations! We were privaleged to have two guides with Dhruber always running ahead to secure our night's accomodation. An amazing trip, that made treking to EBC and Kalapattar a huge accomplishment! Thank you for making our experience an awesome one!

Just wanted to let you know what a wonderful time I had on the Everest Base Camp Trek. Not only was it an amazing hike through a beautiful country with wonderful people with which we could have never made it without our guides and porters. Bharat was our lead guide and I have to say the best guide I have ever had. He not only took care of us he made sure the porters were taken care of and he knew the people and cared for the environment. Dhurba was the other guide, he would go ahead of us to make sure we got a good place for the night and come back to walk with us, he was like Superman! Ace the Himalayas is a first class trekking company that cares about their clients, environment and the people of the region. I highly recommend them and will always use them when I visit here.

I cannot get the trip out of my mind after more than a month. It was a stupendous experience. Just do it! I was fortunate to meet up with a terrific group of trekkers. The guides and porters were excellent. In particular, I would like to mention our head guide Gyanu who was a joyful combination of humor, patience, caring and skill. I would suggest that you request him for your treks. I would also give the highest recommendation to Ace the Himalaya as they are honest, professional, and cost efficient; doing a superb job of arranging every aspect of the trip.

For the second year in a row Ace The Himalayas has provided me with a wonderful vacation giving me memories which will surely last a lifetime. Last year was the Tibet-EBC land tour and this year the Nepal-EBC trek. I can't thank Prem and his staff enough for the organization, execution, courtesy and professionalism on all aspects of the trip. Ace always make you feel that they truly care and takes pride in providing the customer with all his needs to make his vacation a truly wonderful and unforgetable experience. Special thanks to trekking guides Bharat Adhikavi and Dhurba for their knowledge, patience, good humour and stamina. Both wonderful companions to have on such a trek making the entire adventure such a carefree and enjoyable experience. A special thanks to the three porters whose stamina and strength were truly remarkable and without whom the trek wouldn't of been possible. And finally a special thanks to city guide Prakash Aryal whose knowledge of local history and customs were truly impressive, which combined with his good humour and friendliness made the Kathmandu tour a perfect start to the vacation. Without the slightest doubt I would strongly recommend Ace The Himalayas for anyone considering traveling through the Nepal, Tibet, Bhutan region. I know at some point I'll be back in Nepal for more adventure and without hesitation it'll be Ace The Himalayas and no one else I'll be contacting.
Sincerely,

Dear Mr Khatri,
I am writing to you in the aftermath of my trip to commend the services of your employees. Both my guide, Milon, and my Porter, Ame, were very friendly, helpful and professional in their work. Ame was a strong walker and always ensured that my bag got to my destination before I did! He was also friendly and polite and did a very good job.
Milon was a very knowledgeable guide who always gave me information regarding the mountains, our route and journey, the local culture, and Nepali history. He was very thorough and diligent in his duties, ensuring that I had everything that I needed, always asking questions for me and helping me when i was unsure or uncertain about anything. He would always make sure that I had enough food and drink, and at the right time, or that I was warm enough. On the treks he would allow me to go at the pace which I wanted, and checked to see if I was coping with the altitude. He was very professional, ensuring that I had the best possible experience whilst trekking in Nepal. Most of all he was extremely kind and friendly- he allowed me to borrow his phone if mine did not have signal, and he was always ready to have conversations or to sit by me if i was eating alone. He had a good sense of humour and always ensured that I felt comfortable. He also handled our delay in Lukla very well, informing me of our options, making sure that we got to the airport on time, and getting me a better room for the last night. I would like to commend and thank him in the highest possible terms.
Thank-you very much for your help and the organisation of my trip,

Absolutely the best trip ever. We couldn't have asked for better guides and porters. Throughout the trek, we felt totally cared for. Our guides were really conscientious, enthusiastic, funny, inspiring, etc...
Every day of the trek was an adventure. What we did and saw totally exceeded all expectations. The culture was amazing, the mountains were breathtaking, the trekking was invigorating (hard but invigorating). I can hardly wait to come back and do it again!

Dear Prem,
I just wanted to drop you a quick note to say how much I enjoyed my trek to Everest Base Camp. The whole experience was fantastic. I would particularly like to say how excellent Raj was as a guide and Omar was as a porter. They were both always so helpful, courteous and never failed to be smiling.
I had a great holiday and I will not hesitate to recommend Ace to anyone that is considering spending time in the Himalayas.

Dear Prem.
It is back to reality with a bang and back to work as if Nepal was a life time past but the crew at ace the himalaya made my trek a memorable one and i must congradulate you and your staff on a very well run company. My guide Barat and Porter M were both honest and very helpful in every way.
I would like to thank you Prem for returning my money from the Bungee in full for a trip i could not do due to having to return home early, this just proved to me that it is not all about the money with your company and deeds like this will make your buisness a bigger success in the long term, thanks!
Many thanks for a memorable experience.

I would recommend Ace the Himalaya to everyone. We had a great, intelligent guide for our walking tour of Kathmandu and Kesh (the guide for the Everest trek) was kind, considerate, knowledgable and spoke perfect English). We couldn't have asked for more.
It was worth every penny! Contact me if you need any other tips.
"If I am asked what's the best trip I've ever made....it's this one." - Dienke Bos & Hans Wisse
Tuesday, 10 Nov, 2009
We decided to do the EBC trek already somewhere in May, so we had plenty of time to prepare ourselves which raised questions many many times. And everytime, literally within a minute sometimes, Prem would respond to our e-mails. Our experience is that whatever your wishes or demands are, Prem and his team will be able to arrange it for you.
The trekking was absolutely amazing and was made even better by our guides Gyanu and Rabin (if not for the countless card-tricks we have learned from them), with Rabin running ahead to make sure we were in the nicest guesthouses and Gyanu starting to sing Nepalese songs when one of us was having a tough moment. But: never underestimate the dangers and difficulties of trekking at such high altitude.. Luckily, Gyanu is a very experienced guide, and we have to say it is thanks to him and his expertise that our trip was such a succes. We definitely had the time of our lives!

"I can assure you that we made the right decision in choosing Ace the Himalaya" - Jessica Stone
Thursday 29 October 2009
To whoever reads this and is wondering about the legitmacy of Ace the Himalaya... they are for real! Prem and his team are extremely professional and are dedicated to making your trekking holiday fun, rewarding and memorable. They went above and beyond to help us, including tracking down our lost baggage and making sure we got it in time before we left on the trek. We researched many other trekking companies including the big international travel companies that offer trekking in the Himalaya and I can assure you that we made the right decision in choosing Ace the Himalaya. It really does make a difference when you have local people on your side who know the area and the language. Some of the other groups we saw along the way that were with Peregrine or World Expeditions were very large and they were shocked to hear that our group of six had two guides, when thier group of 20 only had one. Our guides Rabin and Gyanu did a wonderful job of keeping us safe and relaying interesting information along the journey. They took countless pictures of us, made sure we were feeling well, and helped keep us positive after a few days of rain. There were no surprises regarding what was covered in the cost and what was not. We couldn't be happier with our trip and our decision to use Ace the Himalaya. We have already recommended them to some of our friends who are now considering a holiday in Nepal.

"Honeymoon with a difference!!!" - Sian James

We were looked after from the word go and had a fantastic honeymoon treking to Everest Base Camp. Prem was very good at keeping in contact and sorting out any last minute questions before the trip; did have issues paying from the UK though but sorted it out once in Nepal. Enjoyed the city tour in Kathmandu, very knowledgeable guide. Once in the mountains we felt completely safe and at ease with our fantastic guide Raj and our porter Rajesh. Since it was just them and us we had a really personal experience and were gratful of their expertise and concern for us every step of the way. Amazing views everywhere you looked. Quite an experience walking all that way but so worth it - a trip of a lifetime! Thank you all so much for making our honeymoon a fabulous one!!!

"In many years of adventure travel , Everest Base Camp was the most fulfilling....." - Richard Cheary
Sunday, 10 May, 2009
During my 62 years , I have travelled many countries on adventure tours , climbing , marathon running , hiking , trekking etc with the best and my most fulfilling adventure was with Ace the Himalaya on the Everest Base Camp package.
From the first website contact I realised that this was not going to be a "walk in the park" and our group would need the expertise of an experianced and capable travel outfit. Ace was such an organisation and fulfilled all the criteria that one could only wish for when dealing with travel organisations.
I can recommend this tour and Ace to anyone. You need to prepare yourself both mentally and physically, together with correct and efficent gear and in this regard , Ace can supply you with every possible bit of information.
The journey was tough but thoroughly enjoyable , with the guides , sherpas and fellow adveturers combining into a formidable team that overcame all difficulties and still reached their individual goals.
Nepal and its people, are amongst the most friendly and hard-working people in the world and I wish them every success in the future. It was an honour to visit Nepal.

There's actually no words to express what an amazing trip this was! Ace the Himilayas sure made it worthwhile the effort. They were very professional in the way they conducted their services. It was service with a smile! Not only did they do what was expected, but they exceeded our expectations beyond that. We were very privileged to have such a wonderful team journey with us. Regardless of their own experience in having done the route so many times before they still completely embraced the trekking experience as if doing it for the first time with us. A special thanks to our guides and porters for their constant concern and companionship. We really had so much fun and I sincerely recommend Ace the Himilayas to anyone.

Ace the Himalaya certainly lives up to its name. Your administration and general management before and during my trek to Everest Base Camp and Kalla Pattar in March/April 2009 was of the highest quality. Your guides – Kesh, Raj and Rabin – were not only extremely professional and knowledgeable, they acted well together as a team and I would like to think that we became good friends during the trip. As our trek leader, Kesh was exemplary and I would like to thank him for making a very special holiday even more memorable. I would happily recommend Ace the Himalaya to anyone visiting Nepal and hope to return one day to see more of your beautiful country.
"What an incredible experience - and Ace The Himalaya - you are ACE." - David Phillips
Sunday, 03 May, 2009
What an incredible experience - and Ace The Himalaya - you are "ace". Our trek to Everest Base Camp and Kalla Pattar in March/April 2009 lived up to and surpassed my expectations. Everything was organised in a highly professional manner - from dealing with our pre-trip questions and requests, the initial briefing on arrival, the trip transport arrangements including airport transfers and the return flight to Lukla, the accommodation arrangements, the provision of friendly sherpas to carry our luggage between tea houses, and the efficiency, friendliness, imagination, and diligence of our guides, Case, Raj and Robin. Our guides ability to monitor our health, habits and interests was outstanding so by the time our trek was over they knew us very well and became our friends.
Perhaps the greatest peace of mind our future travelers may be given is Ace The Himalaya's ability to handle an emergency. I developed High Altitude Sickness by the time we reached Gorak Shep and Everest Base Camp and our guides, together with Ace's management ensured my speedy evacuation and medical treatment, despite difficult weather conditions, for which I am truly thankful. Not only did Ace handle this extremely well, but also Prem, the "boss" of Ace was ready to escort me in the ambulance to the clinic and took the trouble to monitor my recovery back in Kathmandu. Indeed a very caring and responsible operator.
I can highly recommend Ace The Himalaya for an outstanding experience.
Kind regards

"Ace suceeds in supplying first world service under often difficult third world circumstances." - Christopher Price
Saturday, 02 May, 2009
We were first attracted to Ace via their very professional web-site - our first impressions proved correct and we found Ace and their staff to be extremely friendly, helpful and professional.
Once we arrived in Kathmandu we realised that there are hundreds of small tour operators and it would be difficult to separate the good from the dubious ones.
I would strongly suggest that prospective travellers confirm their tour operator prior to arrival in Nepal, this will allow you to assess the company that you are dealing with via their web-site and an exchange of e-mails which should confirm the standing of the tour company, this will spare you from dealing with touts and dubious operators.
One of our party had to be lifted off the mountain near Everest base camp by helicopter, this operation was very smoothly arranged by Ace, as this is a very expensive operation it can only be carried out quickly and effectively by a tour operator of significant standing in the area - your life could be endangered if you are stranded at high altittude with an operator of limited means.
Our group of nine had a most enjoyable and memorable trek and we cannot praise Prem and Ace enough - Ace suceeds in supplying first world service under often difficult third world circumstances.

"I'd like to thank Ace The Himalaya for making this dream a reality" - Dave Bonner
10th April 2009
Hi Prem,
I had a fantastic time on my Everest base camp hike and that is largely down to the company i chose and the guide i received! My first impressions on Ace The Himalaya was professional, honest and efficient. From the speed of email reply to my first visit to the office in Kathmandu which i must say was very nice! On the Everest Base Camp hike both my guide - Keshab - and Porter - Sangy - were excellent and looked after me very well - even through the altitude-sickness Keshab was very patient and looked after me very well to ensure we reached the summit safely - and it was so worth it! The views were magnificent from Kala Pattar and although the hike is hard-work the rewards at the end certainly make it one of the biggest achievements of my life so far. I'd like to thank Ace The Himalaya for making this dream a reality and would highly recommend Prem and Keshab for their professional approach, experience and friendliness to others to make sure they maximise the enjoyment out of this chance of a lifetime trip.
Kind rgds

Namaste!
Sorry it took so long to reply but we just came back in our home in Japan. Here is our testimonial:
We completed the Everest Base Camp in December 2008 with Ace the Himalaya and we had an incredible time. Since with trekking trips the organization of the entire journey relies on the travel agent, choosing the right company is the single most important decision you have to make and we have to say that we were very happy with the job done by Ace. Before arriving in Nepal, and unlike some other agents we first contacted by email, we received extremely quick, extensive and unambiguous answers to all our questions from Prem K. Khatri, the director. All topics were well covered - which was an important point as we had no previous trekking experience in Nepal.
The trek itself was great and we felt very lucky to have Prem Pandit as a guide. Prem was friendly and flexible, yet always gave us the space we needed. He is experienced and extremely knowledgeable about trekking, mountain and Nepali culture. With him we felt safe - we believe his advice contributed a great deal in us not getting altitude sickness - and well taken care of. He for example managed to get us the best rooms in the lodges we stayed in whenever he could - so all we had to do was to focus on enjoying our trip. Our porter Dil was also very friendly and went well beyond the job description - when he would arrive earlier than us in the lodge he would come back to relieve us from our daypacks for the rest of the way even when he didn't had too.
The company is still quite young but very serious and professional so we believe that its popularity and visibility on the Web will keep growing in the future. Based on our experience on the EBC trek we would definitely recommend them for any adventures in Himalayas.

"Taking this trip with Ace the Himalaya can turn a great vacation into an unforgettable footprint into your heart" - Tammy and George
4th December 2008
Our trek to Everest Base Camp was in 2008, and it was an amazing adventure. Initially, I was nervous about booking with an on-line company, but everything went smoothly. When we arrived at the airport, an Ace representative met us, and we quickly learned that all the arrangements were taken care of. Because all the planning was done for us, we could focus on enjoying our vacation. Our guide Keshab was phenomenal! Everyone should request him as a guide! His English was perfect and he had in depth knowledge of the Sherpa people and their culture. He was patient when we were tired, humorous when we got grumpy, found warm shelter for us when it got rainy, and took literally hundreds of pictures for us. With his guidance we were able to slowly make it to Base Camp and then Kala Patar. Along the way we made new friends at the comfortable teahouses and learned new words, like Bastari Jam. Our porter, Ravin, was astounding as well, with his gentle humor and mind-boggling strength. Taking this trip with a guide like Keshab can turn a great vacation into an unforgettable footprint into your heart.
Thank you.

"I had the time of my life, and I'm grateful to the Ace staff for providing me with the best vacation ever" - Rebecca Richter
2nd December 2008
I can truly say that I was sad to leave Nepal at the end of my recent Everest Base Camp trek with Ace the Himalaya. As a female traveling alone, I was nervous about what I might encounter in Nepal. However, it turns out that I had nothing to worry about. This was a "trip of a lifetime" for me, and the guides (Keshab and Toya) and porters (Rajes, Babu, and Siva) blew my expectations out of the water. They took care of absolutely every possible logistic, and went well above and beyond to make sure that our group had everything we could possibly want or need. Even when I got sick on the trek, Keshab took care of me like a member of his family. Since returning to the US, I've been dreaming about when I can come back. I had the time of my life, and I'm grateful to the Ace staff for providing me with the best vacation ever. I'm not sure when I'll be back, but you can be sure it will be with Ace the Himalaya.

23rd September 2008
Dear Prem,
Namaste! I wanted to thank you for organizing a wonderful Everest Base camp trek. The trip was one of the best that I have ever taken. The guide and porters were fantastic and made every effort to look after us on the way up and down. I have memories that I will treasure for life. There is nothing that compares to arriving at Base Camp, the mountains are more beautiful than words can describe. The Sherpa people we met whilst staying in the guesthouses were extremely hospitable and welcoming. I have wonderful memories of sitting in the kitchens of the locals, eating nepalese food by candlelight and chatting with the Sherpas about their life. I would recommend this trip to everyone, including those looking for a physical challenge and those wishing to experience real nepalese culture.
I also wanted to thank you for showing me the sights of Kathmandu. It is a dynamic, interesting city and I appreciate you taking the time to show me all the highlights. You went above and beyond to make sure I felt welcome in Nepal and you added the personal touch that many other companies would not.
Thanks again,

I engaged Ace the Himalaya to organise my Everest Base Camp trek, white water rafting and safari through Chitwan National Park from a remote location in India whilst leading an adventure expedition. I arrived at Kathmandu airport to be greeted with garlands and driver form this point I knew I was with an organisation that I could trust. The various guides and porters throughout my three week adventure were knowledgeable and friendly but most of all organised. "I have to say it was one of the highlights of my whole journey" - David Wood
2nd June 2008
I recently took part on an Ace The Himalaya trek to Everest base camp as part of a round the world trip. I have to say it was one of the highlights of my whole journey. Although I was travelling alone both my guide and porter made me feel like family and made sure every evening was good fun and that I was always comfortable. Not only that but the clever management meant paired me up with another trip going to Island Peak for half my journey, the people I met in that group are now really good friends. As for the trek my guide arranged everything and got us into the best lodges and to the best view points at the best times. It was a brilliant trip and I would certainly use Ace again.
By the way Prem, it's good to hear Nepal is doing so well and staying peaceful during such a big change, I'll defiantly be keeping an eye on the situation and wishing you all luck for the future.

"I am already missing Nepal and can't wait to return and spend more time with you guys" - Kevin Darnell
7th May 2008 To Prem Khatri and Ace the Himalaya…. I justed wanted to say that I have arrived safely back in Australia after having a wondeful time in Nepal. I am already missing Nepal and can't wait to return and spend more time with you guys. Prem Khatri, thank you for looking after us all whilst in Nepal. Your professionalism and dedication to your company ensures that all clients are able to enjoy themselves fully and not have to worry about a thing. I am extremelly happy that I chose Ace The Himalaya because everything was so professional and well organised. You certainly know how to make people want to return to your country. The people and places that we encountered while on you tour were fantastic and it is obivious to me that you take a lot of pride in your team of porters and guides as everyone (including those staff with other clients) would of assisted me if I needed help for anything. The places that you chose to stay have the best food and views and can't wait to visit some of these palces again. Prem Pandit, my friend, I want to thank you for all did for us on both tours. Your knowledge of the Himalayas and mountians ranges can't be argued with and when I return I will be very happy if you where to be my guide again. The information about food and wheather and anything you thought we should know was always 100% right and never once did we need to question you. It was a shame to see other trekking companies and their guides not have the level of knowledge that you alone have. I also thank you for your friendship on the track and all those games of cards and jokes we shared. We both spent time away from our loved ones and with your friendship, I did not miss them as much.
Prem Khatri, I look very much to returning not only to the Himalays but I look forward to seeing Ghorka and helping you contribute into make your foundation a success. I will also be emailing you again with a plan of what I want to do next time I visit and I'm sure we can work out another great itinerary for me.
To both of you who I now call my friends, I hope to speak again to you soon and look forward to your emails.
Your freind,

"Ace the Himalaya team has a great ability to be adaptive and responsive to their clientele" - Eric Waldspurger
11th October 2006
Prem made me feel comfortable about my trip, and all the details from before I left America. His English and ability to explain itinerary & other important details far surpassed about three other agencies I tried coordinating with. His organization and follow through just reinforced my comfort and delectation to come.
And things just kept getting better! I was so thankful that Prem and his team not only took the time to explain cultural details not found in books, but to include me in their culture! I felt more like an accepted and appreciated friend than a tourist. What a wonderful experience.
After speaking with many fellow adventurers and trekkers, I realized that a guide that speaks English (even marginally) is rare. Many fellow trekkers would have no conversations or informational exchanges with their guides, because the guides didn't understand or speak English well, if at all. This makes my guide almost a deity in the world of guides.
Ace the Himalaya team has a great ability to be adaptive and responsive to their clientele. They are aware and knowledgeable, and keep you and the rest of the clients' health and safety first and foremost in mind. I strongly recommend Prem (director of Ace the Himalaya) and his team as a tour operator and guide to any adventure they says they can take you on!!!!

We are a party of three who trekked through the Everest region in November 2005. We contacted Prem (Ace the Himalaya leader) via email after reading internet recommendations and we found him to be a wealth of information on everything we needed to know to organize our trip. Once we booked Prem he advised on clothing required and costs, as well as organizing all our internal flights and park entry fees. We found Prem and his team to be extremely flexible in all aspects.
On arriving in Nepal (our 1st visit) Prem met us at the airport and took us to our hotel. He couldn’t have done more for us throughout our entire stay. From our Lodges to meals and the Porters from his team, it was all organized with a minimum of fuss. We all got to know all of them pretty well over the two weeks and found them to be great company with an excellent sense of humour. Their whole team has a good knowledge of the mountains as well as the pitfalls associated with altitude. We all found his advice on fluid intake and meals invaluable. He was a mine of information on not only the Himalaya but Nepali culture. Our whole trip went off without any problems and we all achieved our goal of climbing to the top of Kala Phattar and taking in the breathtaking views of Everest as well as many other 6,7,8000m peaks all around us.
There’s no doubt that Prem and his team greatly added to our trip and we most certainly would not have made our goal without them. I have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone thinking of trekking in Nepal.

"The trek was an absolutely fantastic experience that I'll never forget" - Francis Diver
2nd November 2005
Myself and 3 other Irish friends completed the 11-day Everest Base Camp/Kala Pathar Trek. The trek was an absolutely fantastic experience that I'll never forget. The trek was enjoyable at all times thanks to our expert trip organizer Prem (from Ace the Himalaya), to whom we are very grateful. Prem met us in Kathmandu the night before the trek and described what we should expect on the trek and advised us on what to bring. We felt very assured from the start. Our guide flew with us to Lukla, taking care of everything at the fairly chaotic airport, and took care of accommodation and food all throughout the trek. Our guide was a great source of knowledge and information throughout the trek, having done it many times before. There wasn't a question he couldn't answer, and in his near-perfect English I might add. He had no problem understanding our various Irish accents (Donegal, Dublin, Meath and Carlow). He seemed to know practically every other guide and many of the locals along the trek and had very useful contacts in the Airline that allowed us to fly back to Kathmandu a day ahead of schedule. We learned a lot about Nepali culture from our frequent and prolonged conversations with our guide, which added hugely to the whole experience.
I would heartily recommend Ace the Himalaya team for trekking in the Himalayas. Their wealth of knowledge, experience, professionalism, not to mention their great sense of humour, combined with the beauty of the trek itself, made our trek to EBC/KP an unforgettable experience.

When you get the itch to go trekking in Nepal, for guides and porters I highly recommend to use the service of Ace the Himalaya who we used for our trip March 2004 to Everest Base Camp. We were lucky to took leader prem as our guide, who speaks English really well and he has a good sense of humor and an all round great attitude which makes the trip that much more enjoyable. You will find Prem's knowledge of the Himalayas and his ability to communicate perfectly in English enriches your trekking experience. He takes care of logistics of flights, gear, places to stay, and such, and prices are very reasonable. He also is a good leader and takes care of the porters, ensuring that they are mindful of their health. Our trip to Nepal and trekking the Himalayas was truly a "life experience" and much thanks goes to Prem and his whole team for making it so enjoyable.
