PREM K. KHATRY - FOUNDER & CHAIRMAN Prem started work in Nepalese tourism industry at the age of 15 years. After working for many years as a freelance tour and trekking leader Prem realized that he could provide clients with the flexibility of a quality first-class service that was lacking in larger companies.
Years of knowledge and experience with boundless enthusiasm for his country, Prem believes in sharing the sense of excitement and adventure that one feels whilst visiting the Himalayas. Due to his well & active functioning in Nepalese Tourism industry, Prem has been successfully leading Ace the Himalaya group of companies including Ace the Himalaya Trekking, Ace the Himalaya Tours & Travels, Ace Express Cargo. He is also leading various social organizations- President of Sambhav Nepal Foundation, Chairman of Arupokhari Society (Non-profit Organization) and board member of Rotary Club of Mt. Everest.

Now living and working at our branch office based in Melbourne Australia, Kathleen is also originally from Victoria; with a background in business management, marketing, sales, administration and finance. Together she is operating Ace the Himalaya with Prem K Khatri and incorporating current systems with modern ideas, enabling us to offer an excellent international level of service to all our clients from beginning to end. MELANIE KREUZER – DIRECTOR (Europe) Since childhood, Melanie was always interested in Nepal and the Himalayas. She felt inspired by them, knowing, she would go there as soon as possible.
In 2007, the big moment has come: going for the first time to Nepal after being in the Indian Himalayas before. She spent almost two months, travelling, climbing and trekking with a close friend of hers. Her love and compassion for the mountains, the people and the country did start; and never has ended. This was meant to be the first time being in Nepal of many numbers to come.
She spent some months in the Himalayas each year since – and during her visitis, she got to know Prem personally (as she always booked her expeditions and trekkings with Ace the Himalaya).
In 2008 they decided to join forces and Melanie is very happy to help and support Ace the Himalaya, with its trekking- and expedition company as well as Shambav Nepal Foundation.

LINDE ERASMUS - DIRECTOR (South Africa) From a young age Lindé pursued extreme sports, thanks to growing up in a very active family, among which, her mother, trekked up to Kilimanjaro. Her God-given love for the outdoors has increasingly become a big part of her life.
Her journey to the Himalaya Mountains has captivated her and made an imprint on her heart to always return. As a new addition to the Ace-family, representing “Ace the Himalaya” company in South Africa, she looks forward to many more and exciting adventures.

RAMESH KHANAL - AIRPORT REPRESENTATIVE Ramesh will be one to meet and greets all our clients at the airport in Kathmandu up on their arrival. He is one of the highly qualified as well as sincere staff of Ace the Himalaya, employing under this company since 2007.
Being the indoor employee, he handle all the hotel and domestic flight bookings. He is in charge to handle all work schedule for Ace the Himalaya’s field staffs, from senior leaders to assistant guides and porters.
Only broad knowledge is not sufficient to accomplish any task appropriately, likewise he also works with mind and heart to give better service for the company.

DIPENDRA ARYAL- FINANCIAL CONTROLLER He has been working as an Financial Controller in Ace the Himalaya since 2008. He has given various responsibilities like keeping the record of daily accountancy, posting bills, preparing budget for the tour / trek and handling payments of the company staffs and agents etc. With his sound knowledge in accountancy, Dipendra strives for the good future of the company. We are proud of him as he is honest, hardworking and transparent in his profession.

KESHAB KHANAL– TREKKING GUIDE ( Nepal, Tibet) Keshab is an authorised trekking guide of Ace the Himalaya, he has excellent knowledge of the Himalayas, local people and customs, with over 16 years of experience in Mountain Trekking, guiding and the Tourism industry Keshab comes to you as a highly recommend member of our team. Keshab has been trained in the following areas: Ministry of Tourism in Nepal, High Altitude Medical Centre and Environmental issues for Nepal, along all of his treks he is always thinking of better ways in which we can support and prompt environmental awareness. Keshab speaks fluent English. Having grown up in the Himalaya he is very much familiar with Everest, Annapurna, Langtang, Tibet and various other trekking regions in the Himalayas. All our guides have worked with us on many trips and come fully equipped and supported by Ace the Himalaya, he is capable of piloting any one of our trips trouble free.

AAKASH K. C. - TREKKING GUIDE (Nepal, Tibet) With many years of guiding experience in Himalayas, Aakash is a qualified guide working for Ace the Himalaya year round. He is one of our senior guides with considerable Himalayan experience as high altitude leader. Aakash is a tall, strong and capable young man originally from Tarai region of Nepal. He worked with couple of other trekking companies before he join Ace the Himalaya. He speak fluent English as well German, holds a Master in Tourism from University of Nepal. He can be found at remote trails of Everest and Annapurna during peak season.

DAWA TAMANG – MOUNTAIN CLIMBING GUIDE (Nepal, Tibet) Dawa Tamang is a multi task; he can pilot any climbing trip within Tibet and Nepal. For those of you that have a keen interest and sense of adventure while wanting to reach the highest point on the earth. Dawa has lived and grown up in the Everest Region (Khumbu) all his life and explored many of the highest peaks in Tibet, Nepal and few in Europe. You can guarantee you're in experienced hands here! GYANU BHATTA - TREKKING GUIDE (Nepal) Gyanu started trekking job as a porter by carrying a heavy baskets from 1996 and then he worked as camping and expedition cook for several years. Because of his old experiences and various training including guide training from Ministry of Nepal Tourism, First Aid training from KEEP and English Language training, he has been upgraded as trekking guide.
Mr. Gyanu joined with Ace the Himalaya in 2007 as senior trekking guide, he mainly leads Annapurna, Everest and some other remote area treks in Himalaya. Since he joined our company, we have found him very helpful, friendly, sincere and liable person.

SUMAN THAPA – TREKKING GUIDE (Nepal) Known as Annapurna and Everest specialist, Suman is a native of Kathmandu and has been guiding in Himalayas since age of 18, and has been guiding professionally for over 8 years. Suman has experience in a wide range of guiding including culture, mountains with some 6000 meters expeditions. A love of introducing people to Himalayas and culture keeps Suman on the move, always looking for the next thrill with a smile and style. PEMBA KITTAR SHERPA – MOUNTAIN CLIMBING GUIDE (Nepal) Pemba is an experienced mountaineer and 6000 meters peak climber with fourteen years of experience in climbing Himalayas. 30 years old, married with 2 kids, he is originally from Khumbu (Everest) Region. His journey as a climbing guide started for the first time as a porter and then as a kitchen boy. Gradually, he was promoted as an assistant guide. He worked very hard and soon he was able to speak English and took guide training. Then finally he was promoted as a trekking guide. After several years working as base camp cook and peak climbing guide with couple of other companies Pemba joins Ace the Himalaya in 2007. He holds a special licensed from the Ministry of Tourism of Nepal as a climbing guide and speaks good English.
